About Me

My photo
I'm on a journey to grow my hair longer. Genetically my hair has always been naturally long and healthy. I have been stuck between SL (shoulder length) & APL (armpit length) for the longest due to improper care of my hair & scissor-happy beauticians. I'm trying to get back to where I was in my younger years: BSL (bra strap length). I am TALL with a long torso so it may take me longer than others to reach it. My locks are natural (never been relaxed). I will be blogging about different products and techniques I use on my hair. My MAIN GOAL is to get to BSL! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Enjoy :) God bless :)

Flat French Braid

I wore this style for a little over a month . I applied Cantu Shea Butter and then started braiding. I tuck my ends in by rolling them up my hair shafts and securing with a thin hairtie. Re-did braids every week or every 3-4 days. Wasn't applying moisture to my ends (big mistake).

I've been using Cantu Shea Butter even before I started my hhj. I really like this stuff!! I use it as a leave-in. It smells so good & makes my hair very soft. I stopped using it though because I found out it has protein in the ingredients. Protein left in hair can cause trouble but it never did anything bad to my hair, so I may start using it again.
